Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Justice Carter (ranked 5958 p4p, 541 weight class) and Nick Tropper (ranked 5532 p4p, 528 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justice Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Tropper!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tropper is trying to defend but Carter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Carter is pressing down on Tropper's thigh, looking to free his foot. Tropper is holding on for now.
Tropper is trying to stand back up but Carter is controlling him

Carter is working for a kimura but Tropper is defending it quite comfortably.
Carter landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Tropper is staying active underneath Carter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carter is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tropper sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carter stops Tropper from getting back to his feet.

Carter seems to be looking for submissions.
Carter prevents Tropper from standing back up.

Carter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Carter throwing shots but Tropper is blocking nicely.

Carter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tropper is just riding it out for now. Carter eventually gives up the hold.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Carter in particular looking to stall.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Carter is working for a kimura but Tropper is defending it quite comfortably.
Tropper is trying to stand.
Tropper is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Carter throws an off balance right hand
and Tropper counters with a three punch combo that has Carter backing up. Carter nods at Tropper to acknowledge the strikes.
Carter connects with a solid leg kick.

Tropper gets a clinch.
Carter fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Carter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Carter drives through and clinches with Tropper against the cage.

Tropper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tropper swivels and escapes.
Decent striking displayed by Tropper there.
Carter seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Carter closes the distance and clinches up with Tropper, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes Tropper against the cage but Tropper circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justice Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tropper gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tropper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tropper wriggles free and stands up.
Tropper tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Carter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tropper tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Carter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Carter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Carter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Carter is trying to get an arm triangle but Tropper is defending well.
Carter throws an elbow but Tropper slips to the side and avoids it well.
Carter prevents Tropper from escaping the position.

Carter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tropper is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Justice Carter dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Carter falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tropper counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Carter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tropper manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Carter misses with a body shot.
Tropper misses with a few strikes there.
Tropper lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Carter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tropper throws a counter combo.

Tropper forces Carter back against the cage and clinches.
Carter is trying to break the clinch but Tropper has him pressed against the cage.
Carter is trying to drag Tropper to the mat but Tropper just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carter wants to take the fight to the mat but Tropper manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Tropper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Carter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tropper.
Tropper tries to clinch up but Carter circles away and keeps his distance.
Carter misses the shot to the body.
Carter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Carter throws a half hearted mid kick.
Tropper throws a one two combo.
Carter takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Carter throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Tropper comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Carter stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Tropper is on him like rabid pit bull! Carter slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Tropper!
