1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Luis Gonzales! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzales ducks down and throws a hook to the body. A swing and a miss from Gonzales. Dar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gonzales circles away. Gonzales ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dar moves away. Dar half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Gonzales looks winded! Gonzales gets a clinch. Dar is trying to trip Gonzales. He has hold of a leg but Gonzales is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Dar persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Dar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Dar forces his way into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dar controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzales looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Dar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dar clinches up against the cage. Gonzales is pressed up against the cage. Dar has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gonzales down to the mat. Gonzales avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Dar closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Gonzales takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Luis Gonzales has been cut. Gonzales throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dar. Dar dives in for a single leg takedown but Gonzales sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dar clinches. Dar looking for a takedown. Dar has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gonzales uses from the top position. Dar looking for a triangle here. Gonzales is fighting it but it looks tight! Dar pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Gonzales is tapping out - this one is all over!
