Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bessarion Alexius (ranked 3251 p4p, 0 weight class) and Declan Mochrie (ranked 7473 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexius's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, A Country Boy Can Survive. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Declan Mochrie!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexius stuns Mochrie with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Mochrie shoots in looking for a takedown but Alexius manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mochrie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mochrie falls off balance throwing a combination
and Alexius moves into the clinch.
Alexius's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Alexius lands with a kick to the temple. Mochrie shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Alexius scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Alexius has Mochrie up against the cage in a clinch.
Mochrie stalling in the clinch but Alexius improves position.
Alexius turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Alexius manages to end up in side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Alexius stands up.
Alexius connects with a right that clearly hurt Mochrie. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Alexius proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Mochrie collapses and taps out under the pressure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bessarion Alexius!
