The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Top shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Halloween blocks the body kick.
Top swats away the attempt to clinch by Halloween.

Halloween has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Top is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Halloween fails to land with a series of punches.
Halloween throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Max Halloween seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Top turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Top steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Halloween.

Top defending well as Halloween loads up on a big left hand.
Top tries to land a front kick but Halloween steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Top takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Halloween scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Halloween lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Top sprawling to the canvas. Halloween follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Top hang on?
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Halloween is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Top is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
