Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Jingleheimer Shmidt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jingleheimer Shmidt misses with a hook.
Jingleheimer Shmidt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jansen's waist but Jansen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jingleheimer Shmidt off to one side.
Jansen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jingleheimer Shmidt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jansen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jingleheimer Shmidt.
Jansen tries to clinch but Jingleheimer Shmidt is having none of it.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Jansen.

and Jansen counters with a low kick, right behind Jingleheimer Shmidt 's knee.

and Jansen counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Jingleheimer Shmidt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jansen looks up at the clock and then as Jingleheimer Shmidt takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jansen smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Jansen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Jansen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jingleheimer Shmidt, who protects the arm well.

Jansen has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jingleheimer Shmidt is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jansen yanks on the arm and Jingleheimer Shmidt is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jansen.
