Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nazz Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Daddy Yo-Yo! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Yo-Yo moves out of range easily. Yo-Yo misses with a series of wild punches.
Lee throws the left hand but Yo-Yo avoids the punch easily. Yo-Yo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Lee throws a lazy head kick and Yo-Yo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lee shoots in and gets a takedown into Yo-Yo's guard. Lee wants to control from the top but Yo-Yo keeps moving. Lee is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Touch Of Death Combat Academy that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Lee is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Yo-Yo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yo-Yo can't keep his opponent in guard - Lee advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Lee is trying to control the action in half guard but Yo-Yo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Lee looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lee is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Yo-Yo keeping full guard, as Lee tries to pass. Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Yo-Yo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Yo-Yo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Lee is trying to get an arm triangle but Yo-Yo is defending well. Lee in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Yo-Yo is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
