The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maan with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Sterntz shoots in and drives through. Maan sprawls well.
Sterntz shoots for a double leg takedown but Maan sprawls well. He's pushed Sterntz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Maan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Sterntz closes the distance but Maan moves to the side
and Maan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Maan throws a nice looking combination but Sterntz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sterntz tries to clinch there but Maan circles away.

Sterntz shoots in for a takedown but Maan shows good takedown defense.
Ian Maan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Sterntz.

Sterntz walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Sterntz limp body while Maan jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
