Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Fightmaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James West! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Max Fightmaster! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! West lands a nice looking body shot.
Fightmaster gets the takedown into side control. Fightmaster working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
West prevents Fightmaster from moving into mount. Fightmaster is looking to take a break and control but West is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Fightmaster landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. West manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Fightmaster wants to lay and pray for a moment but West keeps working. Fightmaster scoring with strikes to the body and head. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. West scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. West scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Fightmaster on the wrong end of a nice hook. Fightmaster throws a big shot that misses. Fightmaster shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. West lands with a hook. Fightmaster tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Fightmaster checks a leg kick nicely. West connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. West throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! West misses with a wild combination.

West is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Fightmaster with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling West to score with a decent uppercut. West feints and then cracks Fightmaster's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fightmaster down. West misses with a double jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! The ground and pound from Fightmaster seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. West throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Fightmaster connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused West some visible discomfort.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Fightmaster working away. West takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. West is looking for a sweep. West is trying to control Fightmaster's posture but Fightmaster avoids it. Fightmaster working the head and body with strikes.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. West throws a series of punches but Fightmaster avoids them all with ease. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. West fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Fightmaster is out of range. West is working the combinations to good effect here. West's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and West duly obliges. Fightmaster throws a series of punches but West moves out of range. Fightmaster takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Fightmaster decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That sent Fightmaster stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Fightmaster shoots and misses and West counters with a series of strikes. Fightmaster will be more careful next time no doubt. Some bone on bone action there as Fightmaster checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Fightmaster takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

West keeping moving, preventing Fightmaster from controlling successfully. Fightmaster looking to pass the guard. Fightmaster postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Fightmaster tries to free his leg and advance position but West is retaining full guard. Fightmaster stopping the sweep attempt from West. West is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! James West showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for West, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
