Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Romanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sugar Shane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrei Romanov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sugar Shane! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shane fails with the takedown. Shane fails in his attempt to clinch. Shane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Romanov tries to avoid it but Shane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Romanov to the ground. Romanov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Shane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Andrei Romanov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sugar Shane. Shane closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Romanov to the mat! Romanov manages to get full guard. Romanov seems keen to control Shane's posture. Shane looking to sit in guard and control but Romanov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Shane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Romanov is one step ahead there. Romanov content to stall in guard here. Shane should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romanov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Shane dives on top into guard. Romanov manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Shane tries to lock up and control but Romanov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Romanov controlling the position easily from mount. Shane is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Romanov working for a submission but Shane is keeping him at bay. Shane is looking to improve his position but Romanov isn't that keen on the idea. Shane tries to hold on but Romanov postures up. Romanov is going olschool here, as he tries to force Shane to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Shane shrugs it off. Romanov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romanov content just to control the position here. Romanov is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Shane is looking to get to half guard. Shane tries to hold on but Romanov pushes him away. Romanov stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Romanov stuffs the takedown attempt from Shane. Shane gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Shane shoots in looking for a takedown. Romanov tries to sprawl out of it but Shane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Romanov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Romanov throws a sloppy head kick and Shane moves out of range easily. Romanov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Shane gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Shane trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Romanov sitting in guard, not really doing much. Romanov wants to pass the guard but Shane is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrei Romanov dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Shane doesn't succeed with the takedown and Romanov counters with a nice double leg into guard. Romanov controlling from the top position. Romanov trying to control but Shane is working from the bottom. Romanov wants to pass the guard but Shane is keeping the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shane controls Romanov momentarily but Romanov frees himself. Romanov is stalling in the full guard. Romanov won't allow Shane to sweep him here. Shane not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Romanov moves in looking to clinch but Shane pushes him off. Excellent takedown into side control there by Romanov. Shane is trying to control Romanov's posture but Romanov avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Romanov controlling the position. Shane is trying to improve his position. Romanov working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Shane's face as Romanov controls the position. Shane tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Romanov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Shane has his takedown stuffed and Romanov counters with a shoot takedown. Shane fights it but they end up in guard. Shane is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Romanov stands up and waves to Shane to follow him. Shane gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Romanov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Shane's guard now. Andrei Romanov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sugar Shane.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Romanov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Romanov postures up.
Romanov looking to pass the guard. Romanov stands and throws Shane's legs to the side, diving into side control. Romanov taking a breather here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrei Romanov dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Shane tries to clinch but Romanov moves out of range. Shane wants to clinch. Romanov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Shane wants to control but Romanov is keeping busy and won't allow it. Romanov moves into full mount! Shane won't be happy about that! Shane is working to get back to half guard.
Shane is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shane wants to hold on but Romanov pushes him away. Shane might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Romanov kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Romanov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Sugar Shane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Romanov controlling the pace for now. Shane sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Shane trying to control here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Romanov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Shane for as long as he can get away with. Shane wants to control but Romanov is keeping busy.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shane has his hands clasped together around Romanov's back. He's all about the action.
And that's the end of the fight! Andrei Romanov showed his dominance in that final round. Well Romanov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
