Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chinggis Khaan (ranked 2187 p4p, 308 weight class) and David Williams (ranked 1217 p4p, 187 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chinggis Khaan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, David Williams!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khaan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Williams moves away.
Williams moves out of range of the strikes.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Williams tries for a takedown but Khaan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Khaan throws a predictable looking body shot

and Williams counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Khaan manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Williams keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Khaan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Khaan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A shot to the liver by Khaan. Beautiful body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Williams shoots in for a takedown but Khaan shows good takedown defense.
Williams has a takedown stuffed.
Chinggis Khaan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Williams.
Khaan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Khaan.
Williams misses with a takedown attempt - Khaan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Khaan scores with a hook.
Williams avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nice defenses there by Williams.
Khaan lands a body shot.
Khaan lands a slapping body shot.

Williams clinches with his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Khaan avoids it.

Khaan breaks from the clinch.
Williams takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Khaan gets caught napping as Williams dives in and scores a takedown. Khaan manages to retain guard.
Khaan is looking to stand up but Williams isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Khaan has his feet on Williams's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Williams misses with a takedown attempt - Khaan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Williams closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Khaan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Williams ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Khaan misses with an uppercut. Williams saw that one coming.
Williams shoots in but no luck this time.
Williams shoots in but Khaan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Williams takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Khaan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Khaan throws a head kick but Williams moves out of range.
Williams tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Williams shoots in for a double leg but Khaan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Williams shoots in but no luck this time.
Khaan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A jab-cross combination lands for Khaan and sends Williams crashing to the mat! Khaan follows him down to the mat - Williams regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!


Williams is rocked!
Khaan works his way into side control.
Williams is still in real trouble! Can Khaan finish him?
Williams tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Khaan cracks Williams with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Williams stops Khaan from passing to mount.
Williams is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Khaan works his foot free and advances to mount.
Khaan unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Williams wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Khaan celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chinggis Khaan!
A less than humble Chinggis Khaan misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
