Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Dorn (ranked 2500 p4p, 274 weight class) and Roman Sionis (ranked 2319 p4p, 261 weight class). Dorn comes into the arena with Hero blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

45 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roman Sionis!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dorn missing with a left hand there. Sionis was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sionis moves in looking to clinch but Dorn pushes him off.
Sionis tries to keep at a distance but Dorn has taken the fight into the clinch.
Dorn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ivan Dorn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sionis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dorn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sionis somewhat.
An inside leg kick from Dorn misses.
Dorn misses with an uppercut.
Sionis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dorn napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Dorn is trying to improve his position.
Dorn manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Dorn is trying to control but can't.
Dorn looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Dorn trying to control but Sionis postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dorn looking for submissions off his back.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sionis connects with a nice short shot to Dorn's temple.
Sionis looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Sionis slips a nice elbow through Dorn's hands, connecting with Dorn's forehead.
Sionis tries to pass to full mount but Dorn defends it.
Sionis winds up and cracks Dorn with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Dorn is staying active underneath Sionis, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Dorn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dorn tries to roll over but Sionis keeps him under control.
Sionis lands with a punch from half guard.
Dorn is trying to maintain the position but Sionis is very close to passing his half guard.
Dorn manages to get to full guard.
Dorn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sionis defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sionis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sionis chips away with some ground and pound.
Sionis throwing strikes from guard but Dorn blocks nicely.
Dorn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Dorn seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Dorn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sionis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sionis is posturing up here but Dorn has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Sionis tries to roll out but it's too tight and Sionis has to tap! Slick submission there by Dorn!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ivan Dorn!
