Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carl Felder (ranked 6032 p4p, 555 weight class) and Joe Hogan (ranked 5718 p4p, 542 weight class). Joe Hogan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carl Felder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Hogan! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hogan closes the distance looking to clinch and Felder counters with a single leg into guard. Hogan didn't expect that. Felder pushing down on Hogan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Felder keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Felder is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hogan tries to kick Felder off but Felder keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Felder is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hogan tries to buck Felder off but he can't manage it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Felder takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hogan is trying to stand up. Felder tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. You get the feeling that Hogan really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Felder controlling from the full mount. Hogan squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Felder controlling his opponent. Felder lands a couple of good shots and Hogan has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Felder has good solid back control here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Felder has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Hogan trying to get back to his feet but Felder is in full control for now. Felder controlling the position well here. Hogan rolled but Felder kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Felder.
Felder scores with punches and elbows. Felder slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Felder is working for a rear naked choke. Hogan is not defending it well and Felder has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Hogan refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Hogan's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Carl Felder!
