PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thing Thing (ranked 4011 p4p, 343 weight class) and Tesha Teshanovich (ranked 24919 p4p, 457 weight class). Thing comes to the cage accompanied by Thing. Teshanovich is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Influenser. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thing fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Teshanovich sprawls well initially but Thing persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Thing is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Teshanovich is not content to let Thing control the position.
Teshanovich wants to get back to his feet.

Thing is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Teshanovich defends it well.

Thing is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Teshanovich is surviving well by controlling Thing's body position as best he can.

Thing goes for an armbar but Teshanovich turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Teshanovich.

Thing is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thing looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Thing working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Teshanovich doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Teshanovich manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Thing has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Teshanovich should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Thing has tightened it up now! Teshanovich should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
