Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Minch Yoda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Chihuahua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chihuahua comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Never Gonna Give You Up kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! El Chihuahua will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chihuahua throws out a powerful jab.
Chihuahua throws an overhand right that lands on Yoda's shoulder, as Yoda tries to avoid the shot.

Yoda shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Yoda missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Yoda sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Chihuahua is looking to improve his position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Yoda in particular looking to stall.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yoda looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Yoda is taking a breather. Chihuahua says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Chihuahua gets full guard.
Yoda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Chihuahua is controlling Yoda's posture.
Yoda sitting in guard here, content to control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chihuahua wants to sweep here but Yoda controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yoda controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Chihuahua wants to get back to his feet but Yoda is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Chihuahua has control of Yoda's left arm, preventing Yoda from doing any damage.

Yoda trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Yoda wants to control from the top but Chihuahua keeps moving.
Yoda being controlled here momentarily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chihuahua can do anything to dispel that myth.
Yoda won't allow Chihuahua to get back to his feet.
Chihuahua keeping moving, preventing Yoda from controlling successfully.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Yoda stands and throws Chihuahua's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Chihuahua is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Chihuahua is not content to let Yoda control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Yoda tries to advance to mount but Chihuahua denies him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Minch Yoda dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Chihuahua lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yoda.

Yoda drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Chihuahua is trying to get back to half guard.
Yoda tries to move into full mount but can't pass Chihuahua's legs.
Yoda wants to control but Chihuahua is keeping him busy.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chihuahua is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Chihuahua's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Chihuahua manages to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chihuahua is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Yoda looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Yoda avoids the body shot from Chihuahua.
Yoda takes one on the button.
Yoda takes one to the side of the head.
Yoda on the wrong end of a nice hook.


Yoda is rocked!
El Chihuahua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Yoda throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chihuahua's waist but Chihuahua gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yoda off to one side.
Oh Yoda is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Yoda ducks into an uppercut from Chihuahua and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). El Chihuahua!
