Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Beretti (ranked 6852 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Madon (ranked 3333 p4p, 0 weight class). Beretti comes to the cage accompanied by Mambo Italiano by Dean Martin. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Beretti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Madon! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Madon stuns Beretti with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Madon stuffs the takedown attempt from Beretti. Beretti gets slowly back to his feet. Beretti shoots in for a takedown but Madon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Beretti shoots in looking for a takedown but Madon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Beretti's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Beretti. That's going to take a lot out of him. Beretti is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Madon's half guard. Beretti wants to work for an arm triangle but Madon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Beretti is trying to control. Madon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Madon trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Beretti tries to control but Madon wriggling away. Beretti has control of Madon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Madon regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Madon is trying to stand up. We've been hearing good reports from Beretti's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Beretti is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Beretti extends the arm and Madon is forced to tap!

After winning the bout, Billy Beretti thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. In defeat, John Madon stepped up to the mic, saying 'You're lucky... YOU'RE DAMN LUCKY I AIN'T GOT MY SHANK FOOL!!!!'.
