Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Archibald Lee (ranked 3323 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexis Tzirtis (ranked 5280 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Archibald Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alexis Tzirtis!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tzirtis as he avoids it easily.
Lee slaps away a takedown attempt from Tzirtis, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt.
As Lee backs off Tzirtis throws a huge counter combo but Lee manages to avoid it all.
Tzirtis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lee is fending him off so far but Tzirtis persists. Nope, Lee circles away and we're back to standing.
Lee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tzirtis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lee moves away.
Tzirtis misses with a straight left.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tzirtis as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Archibald Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tzirtis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee sprawls well. Lee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tzirtis gets slowly back to his feet.

Tzirtis attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Tzirtis throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Tzirtis closes the distance and clinches up with Lee, looking for a takedown. Tzirtis pushes Lee against the cage but Lee circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tzirtis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tzirtis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tzirtis wants it to stay on the feet.

Come on Tzirtis - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Tzirtis tries for a takedown but Lee manages to get underhooks.

Tzirtis breaks from the clinch.
Lee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tzirtis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lee fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tzirtis avoids it really well and circles away.
Tzirtis wants to counter the offense by Lee and move into the clinch position.
Lee dives in for a single leg takedown but Tzirtis sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Lee darts in looking for a takedown but Tzirtis gets double underhooks and turns Lee into the cage.
Tzirtis connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Tzirtis as Lee tries to tie him up.

Lee pulls guard.

Tzirtis stopping the sweep attempt from Lee.
Lee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tzirtis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Tzirtis controlling from the top position.
Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lee wants to stand up but Tzirtis is controlling him.

Lee has his foot on Tzirtis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tzirtis works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tzirtis looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Lee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tzirtis tries to avoid it but Lee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tzirtis to the ground. Tzirtis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lee goes for a takedown attempt but Tzirtis pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Despite the aggression on Tzirtis's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Lee shoots for a double leg takedown but Tzirtis sprawls well. He's pushed Lee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lee stuns Tzirtis with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Lee is looking to counter the offense by Tzirtis and move into the clinch.
Tzirtis is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Lee.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tzirtis moves out of range of the leg kick from Lee.

Tzirtis dives in and scores a takedown into Lee's guard.
Lee wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Tzirtis manages to pass to side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lee wants to control but Tzirtis is keeping busy.
Archibald Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Alexis Tzirtis is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Tzirtis is pressing down on Lee's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lee is holding on for now.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Archibald Lee.
Well Tzirtis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
