The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott moves out of range as Leon throws a body kick.
Leon misses with a jab to the body
and Scott counters with a shoot takedown. Leon fights it but they end up in guard.
Scott is stalling in the full guard.

Scott slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've been hearing good reports from Scott's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Scott is controlling him.

Leon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Scott throws a big counter combination but Leon scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Scott scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still in half guard, Scott seems content to control.

Leon felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Scott has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Leon defend it? Scott steps over the head and cranks it - Leon is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Scott!
