Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yamaoka Yukinobu (ranked 5029 p4p, 0 weight class) and AJ Lyttle (ranked 5817 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yamaoka Yukinobu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yukinobu needs to keep his hands up - Lyttle had a free shot at his head there.
It looks like Yamaoka Yukinobu has been cut.
Lyttle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lyttle moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Lyttle is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lyttle misses with a body shot.
Yukinobu has taken the fight to the clinch.
Yukinobu tries for a takedown but Lyttle manages to get underhooks.
Yukinobu is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lyttle is defending well for now.
Yukinobu jumps guard but Lyttle turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Lyttle fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Yukinobu checks it well.
Yukinobu looks to land a combination but Lyttle avoids it well.
Yukinobu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lyttle uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Yukinobu fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yamaoka Yukinobu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A jab from Lyttle does it's job there.
No joy there for Lyttle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lyttle connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Yukinobu momentarily.
Lyttle displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Yukinobu.
Lyttle dips to his left and cracks Yukinobu with an uppercut!
Lyttle misses with a wild body shot.
As Lyttle looks to move away, Yukinobu throws a big counter combo but Lyttle just gets out of the way.
Yukinobu moves into the clinch.
Yukinobu has Lyttle pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lyttle manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Yukinobu drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lyttle gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Yukinobu has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lyttle uses from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lyttle tries to stand but Yukinobu is controlling from the bottom.

Lyttle is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Yukinobu dives in and grabs Lyttle's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lyttle pushes down on Yukinobu's head and hops out.

Yukinobu wants to control but Lyttle is keeping busy.

Yukinobu wants to stand up but Lyttle is controlling him.
Yukinobu has control of Lyttle's left arm, preventing Lyttle from doing any damage.
Yukinobu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lyttle is aware though and is defending well.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Yukinobu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lyttle's waist but Lyttle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yukinobu off to one side.
Yukinobu shoots in but no luck this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
AJ Lyttle dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Yamaoka Yukinobu's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Crunch! Lyttle slams his shin into Yukinobu's torso.
Yukinobu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lyttle pinned against the cage. Lyttle gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lyttle throws a wild body kick that Yukinobu sees coming a mile off.
Yukinobu shoots in but Lyttle avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Yamaoka Yukinobu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lyttle tries to keep at a distance but Yukinobu has taken the fight into the clinch.
Yukinobu is trying to pull guard but Lyttle has him pressed against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yukinobu has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lyttle after a bit of a struggle.
The referee is keeping an eye on Yukinobu - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Lyttle goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Yukinobu tries to pull guard but Lyttle won't allow it.
Lyttle is trying to break the clinch but Yukinobu is controlling him.
Lyttle throws a punch but it's blocked by Yukinobu.
Yukinobu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lyttle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Yukinobu was well out of range. Poor timing from Lyttle.
Lyttle fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Yukinobu looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Yukinobu avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lyttle misses with a wild combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yukinobu takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Lyttle lands with a hook. Yukinobu tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Yukinobu moves into range and clinches up with Lyttle.
Yukinobu goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lyttle prevents it.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Yukinobu.
Yukinobu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lyttle fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Yukinobu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Lyttle bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Yukinobu's head.
Lyttle fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Lyttle looks to land a combination but Yukinobu avoids it well.
Lyttle stalks Yukinobu and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Yukinobu's face. Yukinobu staggers backwards, shaken.
Yukinobu is rocked!
Lyttle attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
AJ Lyttle seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A jab from Lyttle does it's job there.
Oh Yukinobu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lyttle feints with a jab and clips Yukinobu right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Yukinobu is sent crashing into the canvas and Lyttle leaps in for the kill! Yukinobu tries to get to his feet but Lyttle is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Yukinobu is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). AJ Lyttle!
After the fight, AJ Lyttle was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
