Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Daniel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kang Urip!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Urip darts in and clinches Daniel up against the cage.

Daniel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Urip throws a series of punches but Daniel moves out of range.
Urip throws a right hand that Daniel ducks under and follows up with a left that Daniel also avoids with ease.
Daniel swats away the attempt to clinch by Urip.
Daniel shoots in for a takedown but Urip shows good takedown defense.
Urip lands a jab-cross combination.
Urip misses with the combination.
Urip lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Urip throws an off balance right hand
and Daniel counters with a stiff right hand.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Urip enables Daniel to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Urip manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Urip displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Daniel.
Urip goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Daniel takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Urip looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Daniel takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Urip ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Urip's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Urip duly obliges.
Daniel has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Urip finds it's way round the side to connect with Daniel's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Daniel tries to bum rush Urip with a series of wild strikes but Urip uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Urip tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Daniel counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Urip moves in looking to clinch but Daniel pushes him off.
Urip throws a right and a left that Daniel avoids nicely.
Urip wants to clinch up but Daniel keeps it at a distance.
Daniel shoots in for a takedown but Urip shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Daniel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Urip but Urip pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Daniel shoots in for a double leg but Urip sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
As Daniel backs off Urip throws a huge counter combo but Daniel manages to avoid it all.
Daniel tries to bum rush Urip with a series of wild strikes but Urip uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Urip lands a nice shot to the body.

Urip has taken the fight to the clinch.
Urip wants to break the clinch but can't.
Daniel has Urip pressed against the cage, preventing Urip from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Urip wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Daniel has him pressed against the cage.
Urip is looking to break free of the clinch but Daniel has double underhooks.

Urip can't find room to land a body shot as Daniel controls the action.
Urip pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Urip stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Daniel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Urip avoids it really well and circles away.
Daniel throws a right hand that Urip ducks under and follows up with a left that Urip also avoids with ease.
Daniel tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Urip swivels and escapes.
It seemed like Urip was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Daniel dodges the punch combination from Urip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Urip gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Daniel keeps control of Urip as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Urip trying to control the position but instead, Daniel has worked for underhooks and has pushed Urip into the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Urip decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Daniel, up you get!
Urip throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Daniel.
Urip rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Daniel moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Urip moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Urip works over Daniel's head and body with a nice combination.

Jack Daniel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Urip getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Urip misses with a hook. Daniel ducked under it nicely.
No luck for Daniel with that takedown attempt.
Urip throws a hook to the side of Daniel's head but Daniel sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Daniel darts in looking for a takedown but Urip gets double underhooks and turns Daniel into the cage.

and Daniel counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Urip scores with a one two! Daniel had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Urip wants to break the clinch but can't.

Daniel seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

As Urip looks to move away, Daniel throws a big counter combo but Urip just gets out of the way.

Urip gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Urip preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Daniel drops back looking for a leg! Urip is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Urip manages to kick Daniel off! Daniel jumps back into Urip's guard.
Daniel stops Urip from standing up.
Daniel keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Urip's head.
Daniel is pushing down on Urip's leg trying to pass to half guard. Urip is fighting to maintain full guard but Daniel has managed to sneak the leg through.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Urip is not content to let Daniel control the position.
Daniel seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Daniel takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kang Urip showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Daniel's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Urip lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Daniel circles away quickly and effectively.

Urip tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Daniel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Daniel dives in and grabs Urip's left leg, looking for a takedown. Urip pushes down on Daniel's head and hops out.
Daniel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Urip tries to avoid it but Daniel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Urip to the ground. Urip escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Urip tries to clinch up but Daniel circles away and keeps his distance.

Urip drives through and clinches with Daniel against the cage.
Urip throws an elbow that misses.

Daniel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jab, jab by Urip - just one landing.
Urip swinging wildly here.
Daniel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Daniel drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Urip wants to stand but Daniel is controlling the position.
Daniel scoring with punches to the head and body.
Urip takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Daniel makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Urip pushes Daniel off and scrambles back to his feet.
Urip is looking to clinch.
Urip wants to clinch up but Daniel keeps it at a distance.
It looked like Daniel was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Daniel shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Urip napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Urip can do anything to dispel that myth.
Daniel lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Urip down.
Daniel in side control lands a decent elbow.
Daniel sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Urip is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Urip really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Daniel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Urip pushes Daniel away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Daniel gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Urip sneaks out the side door and pushes Daniel away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Kang Urip seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Daniel postures up and lands a big shot to Urip's brow.

Urip wants to stand but Daniel is controlling the position.

Daniel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Daniel drops back looking for a leg! Urip is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Urip manages to kick Daniel off! Daniel jumps back into Urip's guard.

Jack Daniel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kang Urip is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Urip pushes Daniel off and scrambles back to his feet.

Kang Urip comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Urip winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
