The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dinosuar Jr looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cruz can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dinosuar Jr is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cruz is just riding it out for now. Dinosuar Jr eventually gives up the hold.

Dinosuar Jr looking to sit in guard and control but Cruz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dinosuar Jr is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cruz defends well.
Cruz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dinosuar Jr's guard.
Dinosuar Jr is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cruz pulls his head out easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cruz connects with a nice short shot to Dinosuar Jr's temple.
