Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Caden Lewis (ranked 5077 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Arroya Ramirez (ranked 5397 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Caden Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Arroya Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lewis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ramirez, pushing him back against the cage.
Ramirez tries to pull guard but Lewis forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Lewis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Lewis struggles to land a body shot inside as Ramirez controls his hands.

Lewis jumps guard and drags Ramirez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Lewis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ramirez is looking to stand up but Lewis won't let him.
Lewis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ramirez is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ramirez engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lewis throws a leg kick but Ramirez moved away.
Lewis misses with a looping right.
Lewis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lewis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ramirez circles away.
Ramirez shoots in looking for a takedown. Lewis tries to sprawl out of it but Ramirez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lewis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ramirez throws a head kick but Lewis moves out of range.
Lewis looks for a takedown but Ramirez sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caden Lewis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ramirez tries to close the distance and clinch but Lewis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ramirez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ramirez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ramirez closes the distance and clinches up with Lewis, looking for a takedown. Ramirez pushes Lewis against the cage but Lewis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lewis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ramirez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lewis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Ramirez throws a head kick that misses.

Lewis clinches up with Ramirez and pushes him back against the cage.

Lewis gets control of Ramirez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lewis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Ramirez wants to stand but Lewis has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Ramirez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lewis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ramirez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Ramirez misses with a takedown attempt - Lewis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lewis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Caden Lewis dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Ramirez scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Ramirez closes the distance and clinches.
Ramirez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Ramirez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ramirez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ramirez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Caden Lewis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Arroya Ramirez.
Ramirez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lewis tries to avoid it but Ramirez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lewis to the ground. Lewis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ramirez throws a big counter head kick but Lewis avoids it with no problem.

Lewis manages to break the clinch.
Ramirez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown but Lewis shows good takedown defense.
Caden Lewis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lewis closes the distance and pushes Ramirez back into the cage.

Lewis is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ramirez can't fight it off and eventually Lewis manages to take the fight to the floor. Ramirez looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Lewis not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lewis stands and steps away. Ramirez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Lewis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ramirez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lewis somewhat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lewis wants to clinch but Ramirez slips to the side
and Ramirez counters with a one-two to the body.
Lewis fails with the takedown.
Lewis dives in and grabs Ramirez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ramirez pushes down on Lewis's head and hops out.

Ramirez clinches with his opponent.
Lewis is pressed up against the cage. Ramirez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lewis down to the mat. Lewis avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Nice straight punches there by Ramirez. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ramirez.

Ramirez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lewis defends it easily.

Ramirez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Lewis stands up from Ramirez's guard - Lewis perhaps looking for a knockout.
Ramirez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ramirez wants it to stay on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jose Arroya Ramirez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Lewis went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Ramirez tries for a takedown but Lewis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Lewis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lewis stands up and waves to Ramirez to follow him.
Lewis fails with a takedown attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lewis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ramirez moves in looking to clinch but Lewis pushes him off.

Lewis forces Ramirez back against the cage and clinches.

and Lewis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lewis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Lewis takes the fight into the clinch.

Lewis pulls guard successfully.
Ramirez is looking to stand up but Lewis won't let him.

Lewis looking to control but Ramirez passes into half guard.
Lewis is pressing down on Ramirez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Lewis looking for a sweep. Not yet Lewis, not yet.
Ramirez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramirez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

And that's the end of the fight!
Caden Lewis showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lewis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
