Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dexter Orr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Enrique Soriano! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Orr closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Soriano jumps guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Soriano holds on and takes a little breather. Orr throwing strikes from guard but Soriano blocks nicely. Orr throws an elbow that misses. Soriano uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Orr's guard. Nice move by Soriano! Soriano showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Soriano gets to his feet - Orr follows without any prompting. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Orr slaps away a takedown attempt from Soriano, before circling back to the center of the mat. Orr drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Soriano wriggles free and stands up. Orr throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Soriano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Orr is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Soriano is defending well. Soriano throws a knee to the head but misses.
Soriano has had enough of the clinch but Orr keeps him there for the moment. Orr changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Soriano fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Soriano with a poor takedown and Orr counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Soriano is lucky that one didn't land flush.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Soriano tries to bum rush Orr with a series of wild strikes but Orr uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Orr stuffs the takedown attempt from Soriano. Soriano gets slowly back to his feet. Orr tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Soriano manages to circle out of the way. Dexter Orr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Enrique Soriano. Orr gets a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Soriano stops a takedown attempt from Orr.

A frustrated look appears on Orr's face as he tries to break the clinch. Soriano gets underhooks to prevent Orr's takedown attempt.
Orr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Soriano pushes Orr back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Orr wants to take the fight to the mat but Soriano manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Soriano jumps guard and drags Orr to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Orr controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Soriano pulls Orr in close to prevent any damage. Orr trying to control the position from guard on top but Soriano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Orr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Orr throws an elbow that misses. Soriano uses the momentum to reverse the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Soriano with a flurry of punches that miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Soriano dives in for a single leg takedown but Orr sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Soriano closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Orr is trying to control Soriano's posture but Soriano avoids it. Soriano has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Soriano swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Soriano darts in looking for a takedown but Orr gets double underhooks and turns Soriano into the cage. Soriano shoots in for a takedown but Orr shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Dexter Orr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Enrique Soriano. Soriano doesn't succeed with the takedown and Orr counters with a shoot takedown. Soriano fights it but they end up in guard. Soriano is breathing heavily. Orr thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Orr stands and steps away. Soriano gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Orr is trying to drag Soriano to the mat but Soriano just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Orr is working for takedown but Soriano is calmly controlling the position for now. Soriano keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Orr's efforts to push away. Soriano has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Orr regains guard immediately.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Soriano trying to control the position but Orr is working away. Orr gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Soriano controlling his opponent. Soriano won't let Orr get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Soriano fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Soriano takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Enrique Soriano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Soriano throws a big elbow that misses. Soriano trying to control but Orr is working from the bottom. Soriano looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Orr shoots in for a takedown but Soriano shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dexter Orr. That's going to take a lot out of him. Soriano misses with a body shot.
Soriano shoots in and bounces Orr off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Orr has his feet on Soriano's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Enrique Soriano is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soriano fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Orr avoids it really well and circles away. Soriano wants to slow Orr down by chopping away at his legs. Soriano fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Orr avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dexter Orr. I think Soriano has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
