I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mercer Hill was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hays needs to keep his hands up - Hill had a free shot at his head there.
Hill dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hays fails to land the takedown.
Hill lands a jab to the head.

It looks like Raymundo Hays has been cut.
Hill throws a leg kick that misses.
Hill pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hays is out of range and Hill settles back down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hill throws a series of punches but Hays avoids them all with ease.
Hill lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Hill wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hays manages to pass to side control.
