Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Michaels misses.
Michaels drives through with a takedown into guard.
Michaels controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cross wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Michaels working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Cross is trying to keep Michaels in close.
Michaels prevents Cross from getting back to his feet.
Michaels engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Cross gets caught flat footed, as Michaels shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Michaels gets to his feet. Cross looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Michaels changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Michaels drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Cross wants to get back to his feet but Michaels drags him back down.
Michaels has hold of Cross's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Cross seems comfortable defending it but Michaels has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Cross is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Cross is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Michaels couldn't care less - he's delighted!
