Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mohammed Shabazz!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shabazz tries to grapple but his opponent circles
letting Davids counter with a right hand.
Davids lands with an overhand left.
Davids fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Shabazz moves into the clinch.
Davids blocks a body shot from Shabazz.
Shabazz misses with a hook to the ribs.
Davids has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Davids is trying to push Shabazz away but Shabazz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Davids's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Davids lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shabazz takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Davids throws an off balance right hand
and Shabazz makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Shabazz darts in and clinches Davids up against the cage.

Davids's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Shabazz throws a looping overhand right but Davids ducks down to avoid it.
Shabazz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Davids.

Davids throws a series of strikes that have Shabazz backpedaling.

Davids is looking to stand up but Shabazz won't let him.

Shabazz tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Shabazz pulls Davids in close to prevent any damage.
Davids trying to control the position from guard on top but Shabazz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Davids stays in close to Shabazz's body and controls the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Shabazz throws a hook but Davids blocks it.
Davids swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Davids gets tackled into the cage by Shabazz. Shabazz maintains the clinch.
Davids looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Davids trying to stall but Shabazz improves his position.
Shabazz is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Davids is defending well for now.

A left hand lands to the body for Davids.

Davids manages to break the clinch.
Davids misses with a jab, cross combination.

Shabazz rushes Davids and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Shabazz has Davids pressed against the cage, preventing Davids from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Davids looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Shabazz tries a body shot but Davids blocks it.

Shabazz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Davids uses from the top position.

A close round but Mohammed Shabazz will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Davids throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shabazz sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Shabazz doesn't manage to clinch there - Davids circles away.
Davids misses with a looping left.
A punch lands to the side of Shabazz 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Shabazz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
It looked like Davids was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Shabazz.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Shabazz tries to work over Davids's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Davids breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Shabazz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Shabazz comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Shabazz closes the distance and clinches.
Shabazz lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Shabazz lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Shabazz can't find room to land a body shot as Davids controls the action.
Shabazz gets through Davids's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Shabazz lands a shoulder strike.

Oh Davids is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shabazz scores with a shot to the side of Davids's head.
Shabazz dips a shoulder and cracks Davids with a mighty uppercut! Davids falls back against the cage and Shabazz unloads with a barrage of strikes! Davids is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Shabazz screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mohammed Shabazz!
