Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Matousek (ranked 3362 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscar Larraza (ranked 4512 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacob Matousek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oscar Larraza! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matousek lunges at Larraza with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Larraza's hand. Larraza closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Matousek to the mat! Matousek manages to get full guard. Larraza won't allow Matousek to sweep him here. Larraza controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Larraza decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Matousek fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Matousek lands a nice looking body kick. Larraza clinches. Larraza wants to break the clinch but can't.
Larraza wants to take the fight to the mat but Matousek manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Larraza stops a takedown attempt from Matousek.
Larraza fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Matousek has Larraza pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Larraza manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacob Matousek. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matousek managing to block the knees to the body from Larraza.
Larraza has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Larraza misses with the head strike.
Matousek gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Larraza.
Matousek is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Larraza jumps guard but Matousek stands there with Larraza around his waist. Larraza gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Larraza is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Matousek is keeping busy. Both fighters working to control the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Larraza is trying to pull guard but Matousek has him pressed against the cage. Larraza wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Matousek has him pressed against the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Matousek wants to break free but Larraza has control.
Larraza is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Matousek wants to take the fight to the mat but Larraza manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Larraza changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Matousek fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Larraza fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Matousek sprawls well initially but Larraza persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Matousek tries to kick Larraza off in order to stand up. Larraza Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larraza in side control lands a decent elbow. Larraza thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Larraza is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Matousek is trying to escape and Larraza transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Matousek is forced to tap! Nice work there by Larraza! Very nice indeed!
