Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Friday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). West comes to the cage accompanied by I'm so sick-Flyleaf. Friday is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Whip It by Devo. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rick Friday! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Friday tries to clinch there but West circles away.
Friday swings for the body but West moves out of range.
West uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Friday.
Friday shoots in for a takedown but West shows good takedown defense. Friday swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Friday misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. West thows a left - swing and a miss! West lands with a thumping leg kick.
Friday ducks down and throws a hook to the body but West moves away. West feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Friday keeping full guard, as West tries to pass. West stands and throws Friday's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. West fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Friday can't do much from the bottom here. West wants to lay and pray for a moment but Friday keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. West goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Friday rolls with the submission and now he's on top in West's guard! Nice work there by Friday! There's a bit of a scramble here and now West is on top in guard.

West advances to half guard. Friday manages to escape and get back to his feet! West turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Friday keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Friday fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Joe West has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Friday. Friday connects with a jab. Friday doesn't succeed with the takedown and West counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Friday shoots and misses and West counters by moving into the clinch. Knees to the body from West.
Friday looks gassed! West cracks Friday with a nice body shot. A right hand to the body from West.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! West lands an elbow that stopped Friday in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Rick Friday has been cut. A nice glancing elbow lands by West. West controlling the action here for a moment.
Friday gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from West.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. West manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Friday is not content to let West control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Friday is trying to improve his position. Friday wants to get back to his feet but West drags him back down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Friday wants to control but West postures up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Friday moves in looking to clinch but West pushes him off. Friday throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and West counters with a straight right hand. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Friday looks to throw the jab but West is out of range. West throws a combination that misses and Friday counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in West's guard now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Rick Friday will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Rick Friday's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
West throws and low kick but Friday moves out of range easily. Friday is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Friday closes the distance but West moves to the side and West counters with an outside leg kick.
West throws a low kick but Friday avoids it. West throws a low kick but Friday avoids it. West takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. West takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Friday lands with an overhand left. West throws a low kick but Friday avoids it. West takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rick Friday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. West lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Friday takes a swing at West's ribcage but misses. West blocks a leg kick. Friday thows a left - swing and a miss! Friday gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and West counters with a leg kick. Friday doesn't manage to clinch there - West circles away.
Friday staying out of range there. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by West.
Friday throws a nice looking combination but West bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A slow jab from Friday misses its intended target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. West throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Friday shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Friday takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Friday is pushing down on West's leg trying to pass to half guard. West is fighting to maintain full guard but Friday has managed to sneak the leg through. West is trying to maintain the position but Friday is very close to passing his half guard. Friday is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. West is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Friday's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Friday's back! Friday trying to control but not successfully. West is working the ground and pound. Can Friday escape?
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Friday just trying to survive but West is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. West trying to control momentarily.
West tightening his grip on Friday, looking for the choke. West has got his arm under Friday's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Friday has spun round into West's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe West. I think West has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
