Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gregg Riley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raul Frank!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Riley counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Riley.
Riley lands a right hand.
Frank has Riley pressed against the cage, preventing Riley from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Riley lands with a right to the head.
Frank blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Riley is pushing Frank up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Riley slowing the pace effectively.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Riley wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Riley is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Riley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Riley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Frank has a takedown stuffed.
Gregg Riley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raul Frank.

Riley has closed the distance and engaged Frank in a clinch.
Riley makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Riley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Riley clinches up with Frank and pushes him back against the cage.

Frank looking to score a takedown here. Riley is defending well but Frank drives through and ends up in Riley's guard.

Riley pushes Frank off and gets back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

enabling Riley to counter with a crisp jab.
Riley comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Frank gets caught flat footed, as Riley shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Riley stands up over Frank, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Riley chips away with some ground and pound.

Riley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Riley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Riley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Riley distracts Frank with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Our spies down at at Cozad Amsterdam inform us that Frank has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Riley stays in close to Frank's body and controls the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Riley postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Riley stands up over Frank, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Riley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Riley postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Riley lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gregg Riley dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Riley gets the takedown into side control.
Gregg Riley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Riley decides to stand back up.
Riley stuffs the takedown.
A quick step to the side and Riley tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Riley closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Frank's guard.
Riley is stalling in the full guard.
Frank is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Riley not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Riley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Frank can do to turn this around?
Riley with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Riley working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Frank's head.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Riley chips away with some ground and pound.
Riley forces his way into half guard.
Riley trying to control the pace.
Riley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Riley seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Frank for as long as he can get away with.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Riley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Riley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Frank napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Riley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Riley in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Riley has hold of Frank's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Frank tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Riley cranks the arm and Frank screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Frank, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Gregg Riley!
