Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Beau Hatfield (ranked 24598 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alimsultan Korgay (ranked 5183 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Beau Hatfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alimsultan Korgay!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Korgay shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hatfield's guard.
Hatfield trying to keep a closed guard but Korgay is proving a slippery customer.

Hatfield preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Hatfield is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Korgay defends well.

Korgay has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Korgay misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Hatfield could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Hatfield has the hooks in. Korgay is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Korgay is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hatfield defends it well.

Korgay is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hatfield knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Korgay scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hatfield to see if he's OK.

Korgay seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hatfield does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Korgay closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Korgay has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hatfield avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Korgay.
Korgay is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hatfield's shoulder. That is not cool.

Korgay escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hatfield gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well Korgay has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
