Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt More (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Smart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt More! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bret Smart! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! More shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Smart is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
More has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. More landing strikes from the mount and Smart is in trouble! Smart sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Smart taking some punishment here, with More in his half guard. More is looking for a kimura but Smart is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for More to get the leverage. Smart wants to get back to full guard. Smart moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smart wants to stand and escape but More is having none of it. More pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smart is keeping the position for now. More is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Smart is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Smart has escaped and now he's on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Smart won't allow More to get back to his feet. More working a defensive guard but Smart manages to pass into side control anyway.
More sneaks out the side door and pushes Smart away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Smart looks gassed! A big left from More misses. More throws a right and a left that Smart avoids nicely. Smart looks to land a body kick but More moved away. Nice shot lands for More. More shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. More jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Smart manages to avoid the submission attempt. More decides to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lazy left from Smart finds it's target. Smart throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around More's waist but More gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smart off to one side. More looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. More closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Smart to the mat! Smart manages to get full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! More is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Smart is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Smart has escaped and now he's on top! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. More keeping moving, preventing Smart from controlling successfully. More trying to strike off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smart wants to stand but More is controlling his posture from full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. More wants to stand and escape but Smart is having none of it. More is looking for a triangle but Smart pushes his legs off easily.
More is working an open guard so Smart takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Smart uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by More.

That's four minutes gone in the round. More throws a series of punches but Smart moves out of range. Smart closes this distance looking for a takedown but More circles away. More shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smart but Smart pushes him off and we're back to square one. More avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nice takedown defense from More. No joy for Smart on that attempt. Matt More has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bret Smart. Nope, Smart circles away and we're back to standing. Matt More seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. More moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Smart wants to clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. More shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt More dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
More misses with a two punch combination.
More looks for a takedown but Smart sprawls well. Smart tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. More misses with a takedown attempt - Smart sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Smart gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and More counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by More. Smart looking to sweep here. No luck so far. More stays in close to Smart's body and controls the position. More postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. More landing with the ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. More tries to stand but Smart is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. More thows a big elbow that misses. More in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. More thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. More looks to land a combination but Smart avoids it well. More scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Matt More is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. More keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. More fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt More. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smart fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. More sprawls well initially but Smart persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. More is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Smart scores with a couple of nice shots. More moves into full guard.
Smart won't allow More to sweep him here. Smart trying to control but More is working from the bottom. More looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smart is one step ahead there. More has his foot on Smart's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smart works his way back into a safe position though. More looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now More is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. More decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Smart slips a jab and a cross from More.
Smart shoots in for a takedown and gets it. More tries to get to full guard but Smart has control of the leg. More looking for submissions off his back. More is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Smart's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Smart's back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smart covers up after that shot from More.
More lands a shot to the head. More has Smart flattened out and is raining down punches. More is looking to control Smart but Smart is wriggling around and keeping busy. Smart wants to escape the position.

More shoots for a takedown but Smart saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Smart has a takedown stuffed. Excellent takedown into side control there by More. More is trying to move to mount but Smart reverses beautifully and ends up in More's guard. More working for a triangle but Smart defends it easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. More is looking to sinch up a triangle. Smart throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to More's body to avoid the submission. More has instead reached around Smart's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! More arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
