The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastard moves into the clinch successfully.
Bastard using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Bastard drops down looking for an ankle pick but smith pulls his leg out and moves away.
smith takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
smith throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bastard fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. smith sprawls well initially but Bastard persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bastard moves into full mount! smith won't be happy about that!
Bastard working for a guillotine from mount but smith is in no mood to give up.
Bastard throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for smith because Bastard loaded up on that one.
Bastard moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, smith has worked his arm free - good work by smith!
Bastard looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bastard tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Bastard is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. smith looks calm but he's in trouble here. Bastard gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. smith is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Bastard lets go of the hold and smith can pop his arm back in it's socket.
