Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Waldo (ranked 4862 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Nasker (ranked 4351 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Nasker's choice of entrance music: Who Let The Dogs Out. Ted Nasker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waldo throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Nasker counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Nasker tries to pass to full mount but Waldo defends it.
Nasker scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Nasker seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Nasker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Nasker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Waldo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nasker has managed to get both his arms back between Waldo's legs - danger averted.

Waldo wants to improve his position but Nasker is controlling well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nasker connects with a nice short shot to Waldo's temple.

Nasker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Waldo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Nasker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Waldo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Nasker is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Waldo reverses the position - he's now on top in Nasker's guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Waldo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nasker is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Waldo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Waldo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nasker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nasker drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Waldo defends it well.
Waldo misses with a takedown attempt - Nasker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Waldo shoots in looking for a takedown. Nasker tries to sprawl out of it but Waldo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nasker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thiago Waldo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nasker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Nasker wants the takedown. Waldo is fighting it off but Nasker persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Waldo's guard against the cage.
