Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Freds (ranked 3201 p4p, 373 weight class) and Second Dummy (ranked 4083 p4p, 461 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Freds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Second Dummy!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dummy shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Dummy takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Freds moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Dummy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
An attempted straight right counter from Freds misses the target.
Freds scores with a nice head shot.
Freds scores with a jab to the body.
Freds uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Freds connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Freds swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dummy.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dummy gets cracked there but stands up to it.


Dummy is rocked!
Freds fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Freds connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dummy. Dummy circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Dummy is still on wobbly legs! Can Freds finish him?
Freds is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Freds connects with a crisp jab.
Dummy drops his hands momentarily and Freds takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Dummy seems to have recovered his senses.
Dummy missing with a left hand there. Freds was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Freds uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dummy.
Freds lands a right hook to the body.
Freds lands a body shot.
Dummy has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dummy there as he acknowledges the shot.
Dummy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dummy moves forwards but Freds connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Freds lands with a hook. Dummy tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Freds connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dummy momentarily.
Freds scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dummy doesn't seem bothered though.
Dummy looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Freds lands with a shot to the body.
Freds connects with the punch.
Freds ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
It looks like Freds has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Freds bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dummy's head backwards.
Freds is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Dummy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Freds lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dummy gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Freds.

Freds punishes Dummy's body with a nice straight punch.

Dummy needs to keep his hands up - Freds had a free shot at his head there.

Freds feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Dummy sprawling to the canvas! Dummy rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Freds finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Freds changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Freds lands a jab.
Freds uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dummy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Freds with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Freds lands a big right hand that sends Dummy crashing to the mat! Freds stays standing though and waves Dummy back to his feet!
Freds fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Freds scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Freds fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Freds throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dummy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dummy walks into a left hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dummy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Freds connects with a looping right hand.
A decent looking cross lands there for Freds.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Freds dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Dummy on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Freds fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Dummy to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Dummy looks to clinch but Freds throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Dummy taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). John Freds!
