Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mika Kanki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jappe Jihu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jappe Jihu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mika Kanki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jappe Jihu!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jihu shoots in but Kanki avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kanki gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jihu counters with a single leg into guard. Kanki didn't expect that.
Jihu trying to control but Kanki is working from the bottom.
Jihu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jihu controlling from the top position.
Jihu pushes down on Kanki's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Kanki trying to hold on to Jihu's head to control him but Jihu postures up.
Kanki is looking for a sweep. Jihu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jihu is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Kanki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kanki is trying to control but can't.
Jihu looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Jihu keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Jihu is looking to take a break and control but Kanki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kanki gets the takedown into side control.
Kanki working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jihu is looking to regain half guard here but Kanki keeps moving and retains side control.

Kanki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jihu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Kanki tries to move to mount but Jihu blocks the move with his legs.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jihu manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Kanki stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Jihu to get to his feet.
Jihu looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kanki is breathing heavily.

Jihu trying to control the action but Kanki is working from the bottom.
Jihu controlling the pace.
Jihu escapes and gets back to his feet.
A combination from Jihu does no damage.
Kanki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jihu paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jihu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kanki but Kanki pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kanki stuffs the takedown attempt from Jihu. Jihu gets slowly back to his feet.
Mika Kanki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jappe Jihu.
Jihu shoots in looking for a takedown. Kanki tries to sprawl out of it but Jihu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kanki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kanki could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kanki feints and as Jihu raises his hands in defense, Kanki changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jihu tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kanki trying to control but Jihu is working from the bottom.
Jihu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jappe Jihu dominated that round.
That's time! Kanki's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kanki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jihu.
Jihu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Jihu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Kanki tries to get to full guard but Jihu has control of the leg.
Jihu tries to pass to full mount but Kanki defends it.
Kanki is trying to control but can't.
Jihu is breathing heavily.
Kanki is looking to improve his position.
Kanki is trying to stand up here but Jihu is controlling him well.

Jihu is pressing down on Kanki's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kanki is holding on for now.
Kanki is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jihu is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Jihu tries to free his leg and advance position but Kanki is retaining full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kanki looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jihu works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Jihu is thwarting Kanki's attempts to control the position.
Kanki blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jihu.
Jihu seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kanki is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
