Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nicholas Andrade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steven Lurkman!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lurkman throws out a powerful jab.
Lurkman works over Andrade's head and body with a nice combination.
Lurkman shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Andrade eats them both and turns towards Lurkman to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Lurkman connects with a right hand. Andrade shakes it off.
Lurkman scores with a crisp jab that stopped Andrade in his tracks.
Lurkman changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Donk. Lurkman catches Andrade right on the button with a cross.

Andrade scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Andrade is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Andrade slips a nice elbow through Lurkman's hands, connecting with Lurkman's forehead.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lurkman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Andrade working the head and body with strikes.
Lurkman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Andrade. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Andrade content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Lurkman is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Andrade scores with a couple of nice shots.
Andrade lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Andrade winds up and cracks Lurkman with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Andrade seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Andrade connects with a nice short shot to Lurkman's temple.


Lurkman is rocked!
Andrade drops an elbow to the side of Lurkman's head.
Lurkman is still in real trouble! Can Andrade finish him?
Andrade has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Andrade looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Lurkman is trying to control but Andrade manages to pass to mount!
Lurkman seems to have recovered his senses.
Andrade raining down hammerfists from mount.
Andrade cracks Lurkman with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nicholas Andrade!
