Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tree Fortay!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortay lands an overhand right.
Richter avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Fortay misses with a looping left.
Good shot there by Richter.
A lazy left from Richter finds it's target.
Richter ducks under a wild hook from Fortay.

Richter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Fortay lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fortay works Richter's body with a nice hook.

Fortay tries to land a knee to the head but Richter blocks with his arms.

Fortay drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Richter gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Fortay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Richter moves away.
Fortay tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Richter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Richter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Fortay walks into a jab.
Fortay bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Fortay looks to throw the jab but Richter is out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Richter. That snapped Fortay's head back.
Hans Richter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Richter feints and then cracks Fortay's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fortay down.

A looping hook to the body misses from Fortay. Richter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Richter moves into the clinch successfully.
Fortay misses with a knee to the head.
Fortay slowing the pace effectively.
Fortay keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Richter's efforts to push away.

Fortay feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Richters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Fortay connects with a body shot that sends Richter's belly button to the back.
Richter bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fortay's head backwards.
A jab lands there for Fortay.

Richter blocks a jab.
Fortay lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Richter at a distance.
Richter forces Fortay back against the cage and clinches.
Richter is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Fortay misses with a hook to the ribs.
Richter can't break the clinch.
Fortay looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Richter throws a nice looking combination but Fortay bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Fortay lands a big knee! That's hurt Richter! Oh, he's all over the place! Fortay lands another knee that sends Richter to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
