Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lowe (ranked 23728 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Weis (ranked 5211 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Lowe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Logan Weis!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Weis has closed the distance and engaged Lowe in a clinch.

Weis drags the fight down to the ground.
Weis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lowe is controlling him.

Weis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lowe defends well.

Lowe stands and steps away. Weis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Weis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lowe looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lowe tries to escape but Weis is in control.
Lowe being controlled for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lowe can't do much from the bottom here.
Lowe is not content to let Weis control the position.
Weis tries to move to mount but Lowe blocks the move with his legs.
Weis in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Weis wants to control but Lowe is keeping him busy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lowe tries to improve position but can't.

Weis decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Lowe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Weis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Weis controls from within his opponent's guard.
Lowe is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lowe seems keen to control Weis's posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Weis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Weis postures up and lands a big shot to Lowe's brow.
Lowe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Lowe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Weis trying to hold on to Lowe's head to control him but Lowe postures up.

Lowe is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Weis sees it coming and defends easily.

The fighters are battling for position here. Weis manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Weis is looking for a triangle but Lowe pushes his legs off easily.
Weis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lowe is one step ahead there.

Weis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Lowe gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Left hook, right uppercut from Weis.
Weis looks winded!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Weis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Lowe makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Weis looking to score a takedown here. Lowe is defending well but Weis drives through and ends up in Lowe's guard.
Weis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Weis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Lowe is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Weis has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Lowe wants to sweep but no luck.

Lowe gets control of Weis's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lowe will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Lowe is trying to hold Weis in close to prevent damage but Weis has managed to pass into half guard.
Weis is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Lowe has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Weis is working away from the top position though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lowe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Weis not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Weis is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Lowe tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Weis manages to capitalize on a mistake by Lowe to take his back!

You can see the frustration on Lowe's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Lowe turns into Weis and is now in his guard.

Weis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lowe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Weis is pulling down on Lowe's head to control his posture.
Weis is continuing to stall.
Lowe throws a big elbow that misses.

Weis looking for a sweep. Not yet Weis, not yet.
Lowe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Weis tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Weis is breathing heavily.
Lowe content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Weis working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lowe.
Lowe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Weis striking off his back but it's not causing Lowe any problems.
Weis wants to stand but Lowe is controlling the position.
Weis working a defensive guard but Lowe manages to pass into side control anyway.

Lowe is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Weis has escaped the position, nice work there.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bruce Lowe will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Weis clinches up with Lowe and pushes him back against the cage.

Lowe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lowe lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Lowe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lowe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Weis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bruce Lowe.
I think Lowe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
