Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Watari Kan (ranked 2040 p4p, 260 weight class) and Konstantin Kuznetsov (ranked 2376 p4p, 296 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Watari Kan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Konstantin Kuznetsov!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kan lands with a straight right. Kuznetsov didn't see that one coming.

and Kan counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Kuznetsov throws a big counter head kick but Kan avoids it with no problem.

Kuznetsov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

and Kan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kuznetsov - the referee stops the clock and Kan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kuznetsov. Kan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We've been told by Kan's head coaches at Listerman's Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Kan lands a really nice looking cross but Kuznetsov seems unphased.
Kuznetsov throws the kick towards the body but Kan avoids it.

Watari Kan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kan is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Kuznetsov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kan is defending well for now.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Watari Kan will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Watari Kan's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Kan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kan throws a hook to the side of Kuznetsov's head but Kuznetsov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kuznetsov circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Kan drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Kuznetsov follows Kan to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Konstantin Kuznetsov!
