Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tom Chandler (ranked 4444 p4p, 486 weight class) and Paul Thomas Tarkovsky (ranked 6644 p4p, 566 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarkovsky throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Chandler tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tarkovsky is in Chandler's guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Tarkovsky working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Chandler pulls Tarkovsky in close to prevent any damage.
Tarkovsky throws a big right hand that misses.
Chandler working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tarkovsky doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Chandler is tightening it up a little... Tarkovsky has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Tarkovsky reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Tarkovsky taps out! Nice BJJ there by Chandler!
