The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones gets the takedown into side control.
Jones tries to move to mount but Fitzgerald blocks the move with his legs.
Fitzgerald sneaks back into half guard.
Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fitzgerald does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Jones is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fitzgerald sees it coming and defends easily.
Fitzgerald is in trouble now - Jones has advanced to mount!
Fitzgerald takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Jones wants to control the pace but Fitzgerald is squirming around nicely.
Fitzgerald is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea.
Jones with shots to the head and body - Fitzgerald looks very uncomfortable down there.

Fitzgerald is trying to escape the mount but Jones keeps good control and instead manages to take Fitzgerald's back.
Fitzgerald really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fitzgerald turns into Jones and is now in his guard.
Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jones has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Fitzgerald has passed into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fitzgerald cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jones is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Fitzgerald lands a couple of good shots and Jones has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Jones is really stuck here.
Jones manages to reverse the position and now he's in Fitzgerald's guard. Nice work there by Jones.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fitzgerald is striking but Jones is not phased and passes to half guard.
Fitzgerald wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.
Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Fitzgerald is defending well.
Jones works his foot free and advances to mount.

Fitzgerald is controlling an arm, preventing Jones from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Jones moves to take his opponent's back.
Fitzgerald tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Jones has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Fitzgerald is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
