The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Daughtrey misses the target.
Daughtrey lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rivas tries to clinch but Daughtrey moves out of range.
Rivas is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Daughtrey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rivas manages to avoid it.
Daughtrey has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Rivas swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rivas's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Daughtrey connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rivas scrambles back to his feet.
Daughtrey looks to throw the jab but Rivas is out of range.
Daughtrey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rivas, pushing him back against the cage.

It looks like Violencia Rivas has been cut.
Rivas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Daughtrey drops Rivas with a beautiful combination! Rivas stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Daughtrey is looking for the KO!

Rivas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Daughtrey's head backwards.

and Rivas takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rivas avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rivas stalks Daughtrey and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Daughtrey's face. Daughtrey staggers backwards, shaken.
A looping hook to the body misses from Daughtrey. Rivas does a little dance to reset his feet.
The fighters circling - Daughtrey throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rivas stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kevin Daughtrey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Daughtrey counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Daughtrey dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Daughtrey throws out a loose jab but Rivas uses good head movement to avoid it.

Daughtrey throws a lazy right hand but Rivas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Daughtrey tries to clinch up but Rivas circles away and keeps his distance.

Daughtrey throws an overhand right that lands on Rivas's shoulder, as Rivas tries to avoid the shot.

Rivas dodges the punch combination from Daughtrey.
Daughtrey wants to clinch
and Rivas counters with a crisp one two that drops Daughtrey! Rivas thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Daughtrey to his feet! Daughtrey is in big trouble!

Rivas connects with a stiff jab that staggers Daughtrey - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
