Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ueda Umanouke (ranked 274 p4p, 39 weight class) and Vandall Savage (ranked 443 p4p, 60 weight class). Umanouke comes to the cage accompanied by Kenji Kawai's Making of a Cyborg. This should be a great matchup!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vandall Savage!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umanouke fails with the takedown.
Umanouke avoids the body shot from Savage.
Savage throws a body shot but no joy.
Savage displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Umanouke throws out the jab.
Savage lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Ueda Umanouke has been cut.
Umanouke ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A swing and a miss from Savage.
Umanouke attempts a counter takedown but Savage avoids it well and moves away.
Savage throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Umanouke shoots in and bounces Savage off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Umanouke is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Savage wants to sweep but no luck.

Umanouke works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Umanouke drops an elbow to the side of Savage's head.
Umanouke is thwarting Savage's attempts to control the position.
Umanouke wants to advance to full mount but Savage doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Savage looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Savage is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Umanouke's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Umanouke's back!
Savage is landing with strikes. Umanouke can't take much more of this.

Umanouke rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Savage lands a nice short elbow.
Umanouke is looking for a sweep. Savage is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Savage working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Umanouke is pressing down on Savage's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Umanouke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Savage keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Umanouke's head.

Umanouke is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at ~T~ Troid - Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

A little jabbing left from Savage on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A solid leg kick lands there for Umanouke.
Savage swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Savage throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Umanouke tries to counter with a takedown but Savage is quick to defend against it.

Umanouke throws a body shot but no joy.
Savage lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Umanouke walks into a straight right hand from Savage.
Ueda Umanouke's cut is getting worse.
Umanouke throws a leg kick
and Savage counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Umanouke misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Savage.
Umanouke swings and misses with a hook to the body.
It seemed like Savage was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Umanouke throws a lazy uppercut
and Umanouke takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Umanouke fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Savage lands with a straight right. Umanouke didn't see that one coming.
Vandall Savage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Umanouke looks to score with a jab to the body but Savage is just out of range.

Umanouke half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Umanouke fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Savage manages to avoid it.
Umanouke doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Savage avoids the head kick by Umanouke.
Savage lands a nice hook to Umanouke's body. Umanouke takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Savage misses with a wild body shot.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Savage. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

A left lands for Savage.
Umanouke doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Savage just misses with a punch to the body.
Savage throws a big shot that misses.
Savage connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Umanouke's hands.
Ueda Umanouke's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Vandall Savage seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Umanouke shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Savage's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Savage's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Vandall Savage!
Vandall Savage opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
In defeat, Ueda Umanouke stepped up to the mic, saying 'Nothing ventured, nothing gained. You can't do anything without risking something. I will be back to avenge my honor.'.
