Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Calebe Benedito!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Hunlin.

Benedito explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Benedito shoots in for a takedown but Hunlin shows good takedown defense.
Benedito dives in for a single leg takedown but Hunlin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Hunlin clinches up with Benedito and pushes him back against the cage.
Benedito has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Benedito tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hunlin smiles and moves away.

Benedito lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hunlin circles away quickly and effectively.

Benedito bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Benedito is looking to stand up but Hunlin isn't so interested in that idea.
Hunlin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hunlin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Benedito misses with a jab, cross combination.

Hunlin pushes Benedito up against the cage in a clinch.
Benedito is trying to pull guard but Hunlin turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hunlin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hunlin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Horrible takedown attempt by Benedito or perhaps it was just good defense by Hunlin, which made it look bad.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Benedito enables Hunlin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Benedito manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That was a close second round but I would say that Greg Hunlin will probably get the nod.

Benedito tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hunlin swivels and escapes.

Benedito gets caught flat footed, as Hunlin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Benedito escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hunlin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Benedito is working an open guard so Hunlin takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Benedito tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hunlin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Benedito somewhat.
It looked like Hunlin was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Benedito.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hunlin has Benedito pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hunlin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Benedito tumbling to the mat - Hunlin dives into Benedito's guard.
Benedito wants to hit a switch here but Hunlin passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Benedito there!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Greg Hunlin.
Well Hunlin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
