Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Matousek (ranked 3270 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amin Khan (ranked 7511 p4p, 0 weight class). Matousek has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Jacob Matousek had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacob Matousek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Amin Khan!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matousek slaps away a takedown attempt from Khan, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Khan lands with a nice body kick.
Khan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Matousek's sensitive parts.
Khan lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Khan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Matousek sprawls well. Matousek wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Khan gets slowly back to his feet.
Matousek is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Khan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Matousek ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Matousek no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Matousek throws a series of punches but Khan avoids them all with ease.
Khan shoots for a double leg takedown but Matousek sprawls well. He's pushed Khan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Jacob Matousek will probably get the nod.
