Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Jonhson (ranked 4541 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Villa (ranked 3029 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Brandon Jonhson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Villa rushes Jonhson and presses him up against the cage.

Villa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jonhson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jonhson is looking to get back to his feet here but Villa is keeping cool and he's managed to take Jonhson's back.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Villa really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Jonhson.

Villa has Jonhson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Villa pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jonhson tumbling to the mat - Villa dives into Jonhson's guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Villa in particular looking to stall.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Villa connects with a nice short shot to Jonhson's temple.
