Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aga Deville!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Zane Adebayo!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Adebayo is defended easily by Deville.
Deville throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Adebayo on the side of the head.


It looks like Zane Adebayo has been cut.

Adebayo gets a double leg takedown into Deville's guard.
Deville is trying to keep Adebayo in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adebayo stays in close to Deville's body and controls the position.
Adebayo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Adebayo might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Deville throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Adebayo was covering up waiting for the punch and Deville finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Deville wants to stand and escape but instead Adebayo has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Adebayo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Adebayo is continuing to stall.
Adebayo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
You can see the frustration on Deville's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Deville pushes Adebayo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Adebayo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Adebayo is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Adebayo!

A less than humble Zane Adebayo misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
