Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Svend Haraldsson (ranked 3690 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cal Robbins (ranked 2630 p4p, 0 weight class). Cal Robbins told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Svend Haraldsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Cal Robbins! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robbins throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Haraldsson's head. Robbins shoots and misses and Haraldsson counters with a nice uppercut. Robbins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Robbins dives in and grabs Haraldsson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Haraldsson pushes down on Robbins's head and hops out. Svend Haraldsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cal Robbins. Haraldsson swings for the body but Robbins moves out of range.
A left lands for Haraldsson. Haraldsson getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Haraldsson scores with a nice right hand.
Robbins is rocked! Haraldsson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Robbins is still on wobbly legs! Can Haraldsson finish him? Robbins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Robbins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Haraldsson tries to bench press Robbins off him but Robbins keeps the position. Haraldsson defending against the ground and pound. Robbins seems to have recovered his senses. Haraldsson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Robbins's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Haraldsson keeping hold of Robbins's head, controlling as best he can. Robbins is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Haraldsson still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Haraldsson has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haraldsson controlling the position from side mount. Robbins tries to get back to half guard but can't. Haraldsson has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Haraldsson is working to tighten his grip on Robbins's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Robbins has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Haraldsson is really squeezing tight and eventually Robbins passes out! Haraldsson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Svend Haraldsson! Svend Haraldsson bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
