Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Del Werthers (ranked 3597 p4p, 375 weight class) and Craig Wius (ranked 3174 p4p, 346 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Del Werthers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Craig Wius!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Topper Green and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Werthers swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Wius.
Wius misses with an uppercut. Werthers saw that one coming.
Werthers appears to be looking for a big counter.
Werthers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Wius closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Wius looks to land a body kick but Werthers moved away.
Werthers throws a leg kick that is checked
and Wius counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Wius trying to control the position from guard on top but Werthers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Werthers looking for a sweep. Not yet Werthers, not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Werthers pulls Wius in close to prevent any damage.
Wius stopping the sweep attempt from Werthers.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wius drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Wius as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Werthers screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Wius! Nice submission victory there!
