Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gustav Gustavsson (ranked 2974 p4p, 327 weight class) and Ryan Rodriguez (ranked 2104 p4p, 246 weight class). Gustavsson's entrance music is Clawfinger - Biggest The Best. A fine choice. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gustavsson manages to avoid it.
Rodriguez throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gustavsson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rodriguez misses with a combination
and Gustavsson counters with a nice uppercut.
Gustavsson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Rodriguez lands with a cross.
Gustavsson throws a series of strikes that have Rodriguez backpedaling.
Rodriguez throws a push kick but Gustavsson slaps the foot to one side.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rodriguez.
Rodriguez lands with a nice body punch.
The crowd cheers as Gustavsson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rodriguez doesn't seem phased though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rodriguez cracks Gustavsson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Rodriguez jabs Gustavsson to the body, keeping him at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rodriguez connects with a combination that backs up Gustavsson into the ropes. Rodriguez lands a flurry of punches that gets past Gustavsson's guard. Gustavsson is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Rodriguez bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Rodriguez!
Ryan Rodriguez decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
Gustav Gustavsson spoke after the fight, saying 'He was the better fighter this time.
