Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Seth Bennett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jaleel Guy! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bennett tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Guy counters with a right hand to the body. Bennett showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Guy.
Bennett slips a jab and a cross from Guy.
Guy throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Bennett shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Guy is looking for a sweep. Bennett is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bennett is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennett throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Guy is trying to control but can't.

Bennett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bennett is looking for a kimura here.
Guy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bennett with the ground and pound but Guy uses the opportunity to regain guard. Bennett throws an elbow that misses. Guy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bennett's guard. Nice move by Guy! Guy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bennett swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bennett looking for a sweep. Not yet Bennett, not yet. Guy has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bennett is proving hard to escape from. Guy is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Bennett has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Guy is looking to defend but Bennett has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Guy! Bennett pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Guy taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Seth Bennett!
